1812 American Infantry Officer's Eaglehead Sword. Mounted Infantry Officer's Saber with a silver-plated brass hilt and a curved, single-edged, 28 inch blade. A wide fuller runs from 1/2 inch go the base to the tip. Finished in blue and gilt, the blade has simple floral etchings: the blue in scroll design. The grips are white bone.

On the ricasso there is a design with the Federal Shield with the stars and stripes. The original leather scabbard has.

Brass throw, middle band, tip and two rings. The sword has no marking. Overall is 34 1/4 inch. Of a style made by Richard Bolton in England.
