American Civil War Bullets unique. The bullets were being melted down in order to be re-cast. During the process the camp was overrun & the object became a battlefield souvenir. During the late 1980's / early 1990's. Conclusion: Bullets are the right shape, right size, right color..

There are bits of burnt wood embedded within the mass. (upper left photo # 9). In the end, however, I do not know how much of the old story is true... (Also, by unique , I mean like a fingerprint).
