Civil War Era Dagger Dirk knife Ebony Hilt with Scabbard

This is a lovely example of a Dagger Dirk that dates from the Civil War Era. It is mounted with a plain, spearpoint blade that measures 6 3/8 inches in length which although reflects cleanings from over the years, does remain in good condition with minor surface staining and light pitting scars. The S-shaped steel guard remains tightly in place.

The lovely ebony hilt is carved in a simple design and has survived in healthy condition as well as remains tight and sturdy. The custom made wooden scabbard is leather covered and fits snuggly to the blade.
