Civil War folding Bowie Knife made by John B. Hobson worked in Sheffield since 1855. 0 verall length is 9 3/4 inch, blade is 4 1/4 inch long, folded length is 5 1/2 inch. Blade is never sharpend, one side engraved and the other side etched.
It is a little bit loose, but this is normal for a 160 years old folding knife. Handle is of a real material like bone and engraved with the name of the late owner, Tesmaker and the year 1859. Handle has a little repair and 5 rivets, 2 are older replacement. Fittings are german silver and inlay of handle is iron.
