Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword withScabbard Lilley Ames Co
Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword with Scabbard. The ricasso is faintly marked Lilley Ames Co. The double fixed clamshells appear slightly bent towards the blade. The knuckle guard has a bend to it, the leather grip is gone, and the twisted wire wrap is being held on by electrical tape. The etched blade has surface rust the entire length on both sides but you can clearly make out all the etching, and it is missing the tip of the blade (possibly a little more than just the tip). The scabbard has scratches to the finish scattered throughout, a couple small dings, it is missing the drag, and the middle hanger mount has been moved up about a 1/2 at some point. Length of the blade measures 26 3/4", length of the sword is 33", and overall in the scabbard it is 36 3/8. Check out my other War items!! Including More Swords and some Cartridge Boxes! WE CAN'T FIX A PROBLEM IF WE AREN'T INFORMED THAT THERE IS ONE!
