The original tins are inside the cartridge box. The strap is intact and not ripped. Some of the stitching has come apart. The box measures length 8 x 2 ½ inches. Please look over the pictures carefully as they are also part of the description. Most of the maker's name is worn off from age. During the Civil War they used anything that was available, so there were many makers of the cartridge boxes. Also, they used Pre-Civil War boxes. I collected US Springfield muskets when I had my collection of every Civil War model musket.

I collected Civil War muskets and Civil War items for many years. Most of the collectors in my area know of the collection I had. I have a strong base of collectors that know me and know of my knowledge and items. We don't provide measurements, please don't ask. I always have and still do read books on wars and reference books.
