U. S Civil War Cavalry sword Sabber Model 1860

This is a good example of an U. Civil War Cavalry Sword Model 1860. It is mounted with very nice, unmarked, curved blade that measures 34 5/8 inches in length which although is a bit stained, does remain in good condition. The brass guard remains in very nice, tight condition and has developed a beautiful aged patina and frames a healthy leather covered hilt which continues to wears its original twisted wire wrap still tightly in place The pommel wears U. H as well as a number 73 The metal scabbard remains in good serviceable condition and has now developed a lovely rich aged patina as well. Overall measuring 43 1/4 inches in length.
