U. S. Civil War Cavalry Sword Saber Model 1860 by Providence Tool Co Dated 1862

Remaining in uncleaned, untouched, attic condition, this is a fantastic example of an U. Civil War Cavalry Saber Sword, Model 1860. It is mounted with a blade that measures 34 7/8 inches in length which has survived in superb, original condition with only some aged patina darkening and is well marked "PROV TOOL CO" on one side and is dated U. The brass guard also remains very nice reflecting good honest wear with a little bending to the branches and with a deep rich aged patina now developed as well. The original leather wrapped hilt also remains healthy with minimal wear to the leather and the twisted wire wrap is securely in place.

The fabulous metal scabbard has also richly aged patined and remains in near perfect condition with no dings. Overall measuring 42 3/8 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list.
