Original circa 1862 carte de visite of Civil War General William Hervey Lamme Wallace. Wallace was considered by US Grant to be one of the Union's greatest generals. Was mortally wounded at the Battle of Shiloh, Tennessee, and is buried next to his. CDV is about 4" x 2.5". Great contrast and overall very nice condition, as shown.
