Rare Lyon & Healy snare drum. Collectible for Civil War Era pieces. For communicating commands on the battlefield. Wooden shell, calfskin heads (one side has tear - see photos), rope tensioning and leather ears. Maple shell and rosewood painted rim. Hemp rope and calfskin heads. Vintage Lyon & Healy field drum or snare drum. Late 19th to early 20th century antique.

Drum uses a single tension rope system with leather tags to adjust the tension of calfskin heads. Measures:8 1/4" tall and 16" wide. Thank you for your consideration.
