Very good example wearing a large fullered blade profusely etched on both sides, including a Philadelphia retailer's logo at ricasso, lower ricasso struck with a German maker mark. Blade exhibits nice smooth gray patina throughout with few scattered heavier patches. In its gilt brass furniture showing moderate wear consistent with the edge, white shark skin grip and leather scabbard mounted en suite. Solid and intact overall on this very nice Civil War period example.
