MEASURES 32 1/2 OVERALL WITH A 26 1/2 INCH BLADE. CAME OUT OF A VIRGINIA ESTATE, SOUTHERN MADE AND CARRIED BY A CONFEDERATE. This style Eagle hilt was described by the Navy in 1830 and became the pattern for the regulation Model 1841.
