Wonderful Original Antique 19th C. As Photographed with wear as seen. A Nice Candidate for any Period Collection, Impression, or Display. Recent Estate Collection Acquisition & Presented as Acquired, Warrants Further Research. Homer Quick, one of the oldest residents of Marshall, was born near Marshall, December 6, 1832, and spent his entire life here.

He was a carpenter by trade and spent several years working in the flour milling business. In the Civil war, he was Captain of Company K, First Missouri Cavalry. Quick was also one of the "forty-niners" who crossed the plains to hunt gold in California.

At the close of the war, he married America L. Hare and to them were born four children, only one survives, Mrs. Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon.

After an address by D. Burt, the Masonic Brethren took charge of the ceremonies.
