Antique Civil War era Artillery foot officers sword. Description - A Civil War era (possibly continental)foot artillery sword with Brass D-shaped hilt, ribbed grip handle. The blade single edged & slightly curved. There are no makers marks.

The sword is in need of restoration as seen in the pictures and condition description below. Dimensions - 28 1/4" long overall, Blade 22 7/8". Age - ca 1830 +.

Particularly at the tip end. A couple of chips near the tip of the blade. The brass handle with moderate wear from use.
