Antique Civil War Era Reading Eye Glasses Adjustable Metal Brass Gold Tone

These came from an estate of civil war era items. They are adjustable, and I believe made of brass.

There is a name on them, but from research I can't find out anything about the maker. They have wear associated with age and use, but they're complete, and still work.
