This is an Antique Civil War Era Tri-Fold Wallet in Brown Leather. A rare and exceptional piece of history from the United States Civil War era. That is embossed in leather. This wallet is in exceptional condition. Features Tri fold construction with leather strap that surrounds wallet with large X design scored in leather on front and back, scored lines on inside, 2 separate flap pockets and a bill fold compartment for large US currency at the time and 2 open pockets behind the flap pockets.

The exterior is soft calf skin and the light color leather inside, looks to be untanned soft goat or lamb skin. This is an original item from the period, this wallet holds historical significance and serves as a unique collectible for those interested in military history. Its exceptional design and rarity make it a valuable addition to any collection focused on Civil War era memorabilia. Measures: Closed 3 3/4 in. Condition: Excellent for its Age and Use. Outside: shell in great condition with minor fading, all stitching is perfect, strap is in great shape.

On inside: leather is all in tact with some dirt and wear on the undyed lamb skin. Some minor lamb skin leather deterioration that is behind the Bill holder. You do not see this.

Please note considering this is leather and usually dries out and looses oils, this wallet is in great shape for its age.
