Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Authentic Civil War U. Military Army Cavalry "Wrist Breaker" Sword with Original Scabbard, circa 1864. This Has a Brass Basket Cross Guard with Wire Wrapped Leather Handle.

The Sword is signed by the maker Ames Mfg. Chicopee Mass" on One Side, and "U. The GWC Marking is the U.

Inspector's Mark, with the Year of Production 1864. This Sword is in Overall Good Original Condition with a Wonderful Aged Patina, As Pictured!!! 41" Long with a 35" Blade.

The Total Length of the Sword in Scabbard is 44 1/4. The Metal Scabbard is Original, and Has A Few Dings and Surface Rust From Age. The Swords Slides Nicely In and Out of the Scabbard! The Blade is Good Original Condition, and has Some Nicks From Use. The Brass Basket Cross Guard is Stamped Underneath "AAWT". This Sword is Exactly as I found it in the Estate.
