Unaltered, as found, but everything tight and functioning. Draw tube, sunshade and both sliding eye covers are complete and work well. Construction and physical attributes most likely make it English and would date it to between 1850 and 1870. Optics are perfect with no cracks in any lenses. Focuses really well, but made for great distances, so won't focus on anything close. The leaves on a tree a block away are fine. 20" closed and nearly 38" fully extended, including the sunshade. This is a particularly nice one with a wonderful patina and probably a lot of history. I like that it hasn't been refinished or polished.
