Here we have a Brilliant 17th Century English Civil War Cavalry Officer Harqbusiers Half Armour, A very nice quality English civil war period harqubusier set of armour comprising of the iconic lobster pot helmet and a nicely shaped cuirass, please note that this set does not include the buff coat, collar or the stand and is only for the helmet and cuirass, This set is of a superior quality to the usual cavalry set encountered, it has decorative tramlines and brass rivets which would of been more likely to have been made for a officer or captain equivalent, the ears on the helmet are later and the whole set is a probable composite, meaning the helmet and the cuirass may of not started life together but both are from 1640s for sure, the set has had some professional restoration in its life time some previous old holes are in the shoulders of the curiass as well as in the top at the back, but as a result displays beautifully and looks fantastic! Perfect for English civil war enthusiasts, armour collectors, historians, the gentleman's study, museums, lectures, the roundhead or cavalier, displays and much much more! Please note that this set does not include the buffcoat, collar or stand. We are always interested in potential trades for other armour 17th century or earlier.
