Over the years I have always trusted the great book.... However, it is difficult for me to attribute this one to a maker by his book. It will be your job!
MY JOB was TO FIND ONE... CIRCA 1860's - Open Slugplates - Blown Applied Lip Ring that McKearin shows as FINISH #20. To me has WING ELEVATED a little. Eagle holds shield and the ribbon banners.
ATTENTION--- To me, in the lower ribbon it appears to be SIGNED BY MAKER.... You just can't read it as it is made. I do know that ADAMS & CO. NOW note the FINE BARS above the Clasped Hands... Others have the bars totally to base of hands. THEN the VERTICAL BARS ARE WIDE/THICK on this version, with others shown on other flasks as FINE BARS. I guess I could go on forever with the VARIATIONS... But you bottle experts will know.... TO ME A FANTASTIC FIND! FAIR ASKING PRICE considering all the GOOD STUFF! Glad to answer any questions...
