CDV of Lincoln's Deathbed with Piece of Wallpaper from the Death Room
Offered here is a section of wallpaper that came from the room in the Peterson Boarding House across the street from Ford's Theater where President Lincoln was brought on the night of April 14, 1865 after he was shot, and subsequently died at 7:22am the morning of April 15, 1865. Well documented provenance proves this piece of wallpaper was on the wall of the room where Lincoln died, at the time of death. Includes a rare CDV lithograph of the incident, expertly framed in a Riker case, with the section of wallpaper encased in a period 1/9 plate ambrotype frame. One of a kind item, and important part of American history, which deserves a prominent display in any Civil War or Abraham Lincoln collection.
