An original Pair of Civil War era field glasses with black enamel brass body The glasses are approx 5.5 x 4.5 extended, missing the central leather wrap. The eyepieces are maker marked "Lemaire Fabri Paris", The glasses are overall Good and the optics are sound. They are similar to a pair identified to Medal of Honor awardee Lt Daniel Davis Wheeler, 4th Vermont Volunteers, on exhibit at the Chancellorsville Battlefield Museum, Virginia. The optics & mechanism are VG overall. NOTE: Any repair to a paper item is listed. I use only museum curator approved archival repair tape.
