Samuel HM Byers, a noted 5th Iowa officer was at Cheraw the day of the explosion and describes it in his memoIr of service in the Carolinas, "With Fire and Sword". An original group of 3 unfired French minie bullets from the Cheraw explosion. I got these from a digger 30 years ago and they have been in my collection since. Each is unfired but shows dents created by the blast. NOTE: Any repair to a paper item is listed.
I use only museum curator approved archival repair tape. All items are unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic and in the condition as described.
