Wonderful original example of the civil war era 6 eraser, this sharp, scalpel like device was used to make paper corrections by scraping to remove ink. Manufactured by Joseph Rodgers - England - and marked, "RODGERS CUTLERS TO HER MAJESTY". The bone handle is in excellent condition (see last two photos showing image of the handle under magnification).
