Civil War Era Union Army Leather Cap Pouch for the Percussion Revovler - Marked: U. On the Flap - Nice Condition.

The leather is soft and supple. There is minor crazing and surface cracking on the flap. No rips or tears in the leather, the seams are all in good shape. It does not have the lambs wool liner. The pouch is marked faintly U. Someone also marked some intials on the flap. The box is approximately 3.5"wide x 3.5"tall x 1 1/2 deep. This is a nice representative example that has ages well over it's 150+ year life. This Cap Pouch was used to store the percussion caps for the Percussion Revovlers used during the Civil War.
