This exceptional example of an officers belt and accoutrements is being offered for your consideration. This belt and associated buckle, hangers and cartridge pouch have been carefully prepared by a trained professional museum artifact conservationist. This artifact is in very good condition overall but does show normal signs of age, such as cracks in the leather and slight corrosion on metal. However the leather has been carefully treated to help preserve it and retain it's beauty and flexibility and the problematic corrosion has been carefully removed without effecting the natural patina of the metal. This was done just as it would be on a museum artifact being prepared for exhibit.

This conservation work is time consuming and difficult and was done by a trained museum professional. It is important that valuable, historic items like this are properly preserved for future generations.
