US Post Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Presentation Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso marked "Shannon, Miller, & Crane" over "New York". The guard, grip, and pommel cap wiggle. The grip shows very little wear, it is complete, and the twisted wire is also complete.

The double clamshell has the typical eagle with flags on it on one side (slightly bent) but is blank on the folding side. The etched blade is straight, unsharpened, and has a few scattered light age spots scattered throughout. The scabbard is solid, shows light wear with scattered age spots throughout, the throat piece is missing, the drag has a star on one side and 1 screw hole is broken.

Length of the blade measures 30 1/4", length of the sword is 36 1/8", and overall in the scabbard it is 37. Check out my other War items!!
