Civil War South Carolina State Seal Breast Plate. This is an ORIGINAL South Carolina State Seal Breast Plate. This was acquired from the Halsey collection auctioned in North Carolina in 2020. During the Civil War this would have been fixed to the cartridge box's shoulder strap, as worn by South Carolina Confederate soldiers.
