Fine lot of three items signed by notable Union generals, includes: GEORGE W. 19, 1863, to Rhode Island senator Henry B. Anthony, transmitting a copy of a bill that would organize the Army Corps of Engineers (not present). Cullum' at the conclusion in black ink.

Shows original mailing folds, slight brushing, some ink burn near the bottom and archival tape mounting remnants to the verso, else very good. Winchester, VA, May 15, 1865, a handwritten draft of a telegram message to a John Neill M. Presumably a relative, ordering him to Washington to inspect troops of the First Corps. Neill' at the conclusion in pencil.

Shows folds, trimmed at the top and with a mounting strip thereto on the verso, else very good. By the end of the Civil War he held the rank of brigadier general in the Union Army, later serving as superintendent of the United States Military Academy. He signs'T G Pitcher' at bottom left.

Shows some small tears to the edges, with one near center, and with archival tape mounting remnants to the verso, else very good.
