Dug by me personally in the early 2000's in a Union camp not far from Malvern Hill, Virginia, this very nice pair of Civil War artifacts consists of a Union "US" cartridge boxplate and a Hardee hat badge. The plate is missing its' hooks as well as part of its' rim, but is otherwise in solid condition, and displays well. The Hardee hat badge is complete, though thin and fragile (as they all are).
It is the only one I ever dug and I was absolutely thrilled when I found it. This very nice pair of relics would make an excellent addition to any collection.
