Here we have a beautiful Civil War US oval belt buckle that is in excellent, un-dug condition. This is the mid-war football style plate with both arrow hooks, belt catch, and full lead on the rear side.

The face of this buckle is perfect with no edge dings and only a few light marks for actual field use. The brass is with a very attractive, mellow, and even age toned patina.
