It is Extremely RARE to discover a Daguerreotype photo of a mid 19th century home with subjects in front are even more Rare! This particular gem includes two women on the porch and what appears a Black Gentleman with a top hat walking toward the white picket fence gate.

An Amazing & Scarce piece of History! Size: a Rare Large Quarter Plate, about 3.25x 4.25.

Scratching to plate including large scratch near upper right, with tarnishing to edges. Housed in a full pressed paper case (spotting to mat, surface wear with finish loss to case). Among the posed subjects is a man, possibly an African American, wearing a top hat near the gate of the picket fence in front of the house.
