This is a rare and historic Harpers Weekly newspaper edition from April 1865, covering the events surrounding the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. The newspaper was printed in the United States and is a valuable collectible for anyone interested in history, newspapers, or Civil War memorabilia.
Overall it is in amazing condition for it's age! The worst flaw is a 6 cut on the front across JWB upper shoulder area. The paper was stored folded so the crease on the side shows some fraying/tears.
It is yellowed and has a few small stains but nothing serious. Items are guaranteed to be authentic and in the condition described. I pack with care and use new (or clean used) professional packing products. All sales final except for misrepresentation which is rare, but always made right.
