At Mount Stirling, Lancaster and Stanford. Then sent to Vicksburg, Miss. After surrender, by boat and train to Cincinnati arriving 14 Aug. Clerk at Mossy Creek, East Tenn. 1864, with Cavalry corps, Army of Ohio Brig.Taken prisoner by rebs Jan. Taken to Belle Isle, Richmond, Va. Put on Flag of Truce boat, Mar.
Side & taken past Fortress Monroe. After prison camp he was a clerk at HQ, Camp Parole, Annapolis, Md.
Til June 1,1864, rejoined regiment. Regiment fought at the Crater and Weldon R. 19, 1864 turned 24 years old.
