Italian Civil War Gun Powder "Peace" flask. I couldn't tell it was a reproduction but there's no makers mark on it so I assume it is. Brass powder flask is a reproduction of the original 1844 Ames made flask.
The spread-winged eagle looks to the left towards the olive branch. The clasped hands are within a circular sunburst with 13 points, surrounded by a circle of 26 stars. The base consists of a small "US" within a canted shield, 4 crossed flags, cannons, swords, muskets, bugles, pikes and a single halberd. The carrying "rings" are triangular in shape.The body is in good condition with light wear, small scattered dents and one larger dent. Brass has darkened with age, has scattered spotting and oxidation. Total length measures 9" long x 4" at the widest point.
