Original Civil War Non-Commission Officers Sword measuring 40" (blade 32"). Blade marked Ames Mfg Co. Chicopee, Mass" with other side of ricasso marked "US A. Blade is straight and bright with some small grey spots.

No rust or pitting, no nicks or chips, no play between parts. Brass handle is in good condition with an even light-colored patina and does not appear to have been cleaned. Blade has not been sharpened.
