Good condition and guaranteed original pre Civil War US Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword. AMES SPRINGFIELD no longer can see mark.

19 1/8 blade has mixed gray, and brown color with a few patches of pitting. Edge has numerous small nicks. Brass grip has mostly even color. Top of guard is marked with inspector initials MS.

Both sides of pommel have eagle designs. A good representative example of a classic Ames M1832 foot artillery sword for your collection.
