English Civil War Scottish Broad Sword, Used in American Revolution. Please Check back regularly for new listings of quality weapons. Buyers from Italy Must have Import Permit for Antique Edged Weapons. Without Copy of the Permit. A rare early example mounted with a strong single edged blade having one wide and one narrow fuller to each side.

Blade appears to have traces of now heavily worn markings on both sides and the lower spine, showing nice gray patina and fine to moderate pitting throughout. With its distinctive steel basket guard and a very Massive ball-pommel, all showing moderate to heavy pitting as well. Original wooden grip and huge pommel are solid and intact with the blade, the guard however has a light play. A rare early Scottish warrior's weapon of very seldom encountered hilt pattern, Historically fascinating as it has probably taken part in both English Civil War and the American Revolution.
