RARE 1/6 PLATE THERMOPLASTIC CASE - CIVIL WAR "USS MONITOR" IRON WARSHIP + MAT & PRESERVER. If you are looking for a fine Civil War era thermoplastic case for a image in your collection in need of a housing, then you will truly want to consider this fine example. The case will also include a sixth plate brass mat, preserver and sheet of cover glass.

I guarantee your own image will look superb inside this wonderful 19th Century housing. CONDITION : Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description. The sixth plate case is ready for your own image to be added.

The case is in excellent antique condition with only two minor flaws; a very tiny chip seen on the far right side of the front of the case and a small hairline crack at the clasps or closure area (See my last listing photo). These are very minor issues and I have price this item accordingly. The interior has a beautiful maroon velvet pillow.

Again, the case will include a mat, preserver and sheet of glass. A fantastic housing for any 19th Century and/ or Civil War image collector.
