RARE Antique Tintype Photo Civil War Colonel John Hummond 5th Cavalry

For sale is a tintype of what I believe is Colonel John Hummond of 5th Cavalry. While this tintype is not authenticated, an image search suggested that it is a photo of young Colonel John Hummond. On the back there is a handwriting "4535 Hummond" (inscribed three times).

The dimensions are 5-½" x 4-¼".
