Rare Genuine Civil War Relic Fort Monroe 1864 Prayer Book Inscribed with Quill

Though Fort Monroe resides in the state of Virginia Union forces held the fort during the entirety of the American civil war. This is a prayer book from the chapel at the Union fort in Monroe, Virginia. The inscription was probably written by the chaplain or staff as the prayer book came into the chapel's possession. Stated on the fly leaf and written with a quill pen,'Post Chapel, Fort Monroe, Va, May, 1864.
