Rusted Civil War Dagger

Rusted and unsharpened Dagger from the Civil War. The story goes that my father dug this out of the ground on the farm he was born on in Michigan. Where exactly, in Michigan I would not know. He pulled it out of the earth when he was 4 or so, so around the early 1960s is when he came into possession of it.

It has never been restored or messed with after the fact. It came into my possession about 10 year ago and I have kept it in a ziplock bag with moisture absorbers in my gun safe along with my other metal possessions to prevent any further erosion.
