Antique Civil War LEATHER OFFICER'S CARTRIDGE BOX. Original, standard size and shape Civil War leather cartridge box. This is a nice standard officer's cartridge box, made to HOLD REVOLVER CARTRIDGES. This cartridge box is very nice overall.

Leather is pliable and generally in very good to excellent condition. Slight wear in a couple of places, but not too much flaking or dryness.

It has the COMPLETE AND EXCELLENT leather flap tab, with excellent original brass finial tip. (one or both are often broken or missing due to frequent usage and bending). Stitching on the body of the box is tight. Complete and excellent belt loops. A good solid box overall and a great, complete addition to your collection of Civil War or officer's personal items!!!
