Richards was in the 148th Ohio Regt. Of the Ohio National Guard. The Regiment saw 5 months service guarding Harpers Ferry VA. 1864 when they were mustered out, losing 39 men to disease.

The book has minor damage to the spline and fingerprint soiling on several pages. All pages and fold outs are present.
