Unusual, Rare Handmade Civil War Lead Gear, Dug/Excavated From Fredericksburg Battle/Camp Area. Very unusual handmade dug/excavated Civil War lead gear. Hard to tell if it was part of any piece of equipment, was made to fix something in a pinch, or whether it was JUST MADE ON A WHIM DURING QUIET PASTTIME. Could have been carved out of a piece of lead or cast in sand from a pattern of some type. Again, not perfect and clearly hand made.

Large, measuring 3 1/2" diameter and roughly 1/2" thick. Nice excavated condition, made of lead. Found in the Fredericksburg, Va. Camp/battle area, on private land, with owner's permission. A very nice, unusual item in excellent condition.
