A very good early example of the Cromwellian era English Waloon type sword, mounted with a strong large-fullered blade, showing traces of maker's name and other markings on both sides, exhibiting cleaned surface with moderate pitting throughout, a bit heavier to one side than the other. With its steel hilt mounts having fine pierced kidney-shaped guard and steel wire grip topped with nice large fluted pommel. Solid and intact overall, a very well balanced and quick weapon, nevertheless fully battle-worthy. Overall : 39" Blade : 33 1/2". Listing and template services provided by inkFrog.
