Not known to publish music during this period. I could not find anything online. Could not locate a single copy of this print.

An almost certain single digit rarity. 7 1/2 in right side circle means 75 cents - a lot for this period and a comment on a short print run. Possibly the rarest of the Ellsworth lithos - he is pictured in a head shot down center.

Ellsworth being from Illinois makes this significant in addition to its rarity and artistry. Crehen, signed in the stone, did the fine litho (indistinct but visible with glass in lower left of image) for Clayton Lithography in New York. Crehen did the wonderful Edwin Booth portrait on'Genius', another music print.

His son Ernest designed uniforms and lithographs for the Confederacy. Dedicated to Harlow Zouaves, perhaps based in Peoria.

An extremely rare, Civil War-related original print. If this doesn't come close to being a'historical document' then I don't know what does. Item stored in zero acid plastic with backing board and will be packaged and mailed that way in a Kraft mailer for protection.
