Very Rare CIVIL WAR Military Fife, Complete With Original Pewter Cheater for Non-Musical Fifers! Very nice Civil War fife. Has a great look, especially with the cheater!! The cheater was used for soldiers who didn't know how to play a fife, and they were scarce then and EVEN RARER NOW.

You could play 3 distinct octaves or 24 notes from a 6-hole Civil War fife. They had a great, shrill sound for use for music on the march or in battle, and were popular regimental battle instruments and to play ROUSING PATRIOTIC MARCHES & OTHER MUSIC. Very good condition overall and still looks great. A GREAT ITEM FOR A CAMP, BATTLEFIELD, OR MUSICAL COLLECTION OR DIORAMA.
